Schnitz
Written on Saturday, 8 August 2015 @ 19:36 ✈

Schnitz has been open in Liverpool Westfields for a while now, but I never thought to try out the place 'till earlier this week. I have a weakness for burgers... and I'm on a roll to seek out my favourite burger/s around my area.
Schnitz offers their range in the form of a wrap or a burger, however everyone at the restaurant obviously went for the burger option.
My friend and I both had the AussieAussieAussie burger, basically because who doesn't love having bacon in my burgers. I think this burger was the only one that had bacon. We also shared large fries with honey mustard sauce which was delicious. Compared to the classic tomato/mustard sauce, it wasn't sour at all. I'm not a huge fan of sour sauces.

The burger was different to what Grill'd would normally offer. There was a fried egg in the burger which to me.... was a bit strange. I'm not used to having egg in my burgers. Although, people who enjoy eating a bacon and egg burger would have liked this AussieAussieAussie burger. The size of the beetroot was as big as the burger itself. I was expecting to have small discs of beetroot sliding out from the sides of my burger but the slice of beetroot extended towards every edge of the burger. The schnitzel was a bit dry. It would be wise to have a drink handy as you would probably be taking a sip between bites.

Lastly, the burger itself was enormous. I personally was only able to fit half the burger in my mouth at a time, meaning I would take a bite of the bottom half of the layers within the burger, then take a bite of the top half of the layers. My friend on the other hand finished the burger without any trouble... and in a third of the time it took me to finish my burger.

In comparison with the burgers I've had at Grill'd, the AussieAussieAussie burger in general was more dry. I think anyone who has tried any of the burgers at Grill'd would agree that by the end of their meal, they would find their plate covered with the sauces from the texture of the ingredients of their burger.

The fries were on-point though. I loved it, but then again who doesn't love fries?!
